Dough
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp honey
- 60 grams butter
- 7g instant yeast
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp orange rind
- 1/2 cup dried currents (more is better!)
- 1/2 cup sultanas (more is better!)
- 800g flour
- 2 tsp cinnamon (more is better!)
- 1 tsp salt
Method
- Warm up milk on stove, add honey and butter and combine.
- Activate yeast, then add egg, rind, and fruit. Combine flour,
cinnamon and salt. Add the yeast and fruit mixture, then add the milk
mixture. Combine everything. Cover and leave in a warm place until dough
doubles.
- Lightly knead mixture, then raise again.
- Divide into 16 pieces, shape into balls. Place on baking trays and
rest for 30 min.
- Preheat oven to 200 C.
- Make flour paste, and pipe crosses onto the buns. Bake for 25
minutes. Cool and then glaze.
