Ingredients
Dumplings
- 1 cup SR flour
- Pinch salt
- 20g butter
- 1 egg
- 50ml milk
Sauce
- 1/2 cup golden syrup
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 30g butter
- 1 2/3 cups water
Method
- Sift flour into bowl and add pinch of salt.
- Rub butter into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs. Add whisked
egg and combine.
- Gently add milk until the dough just comes together and looks
nice.
- Combine all sauce ingredients in saucepan. Bring to boil and stir.
Once nicely combined, reduce heat to a gentle simmer.
- Roll out dough into nice balls. Drop into syrup and cook for about
20 min, stirring occasionally.
